Sea vegetables can encourage weight loss

Posted by in Your Thyroid

Sea vegetables (sea weed), also known as sea weed, ie. kelp, nori, kombu, laver, dulse, sea-wrack, Irish moss and many more all contain iodine which is needed for a healthy thyroid gland which is heavily involved in the metabolism. They generally come in all shapes and sizes, and can vary in colour considerably. To find sea vegetables (sea weeds) you generally need to go to an Asian store or a health store, where they are generally sold in a dried form. Sea vegetables have been part of many cuisines for centuries. They are generally an extremely rich source of minerals, more so than land plants.  They are extremely cleansing, healing, and nutritious, kick starting the metabolism, as they are rich in iodine, feeding the thyroid gland.

Found in Asian supermarkets and health shops.
