Time of day – important to weight loss

clockResearch shows time and time again, if you eat more in the morning you will eat less in the evening encouraging weight-loss.

So many people skip breakfast or have too little or eat the wrong foods in the morning. So many people have it the wrong way round, starting off with less and increasing consumption as they day goes by and eating loads in the evening.

After a certain hour in the evening the kitchen should be closed to you, except of making herbals teas or getting water. If you can’t cope with that then organize your water in a pitcher or teas in a thermos flask so you don’t have to return to the kitchen after that designated time.

Why do people not eat enough in the morning? Many people are not too hungry from all the food they eat the night before. Most people don’t leave enough time in the morning to eat enough or enough time to prepare.

Avoid most breakfast cereals, and anything that contains sugar or maple syrup or jello etc.

Start eating less in the evening, or less after a certain hour. Prepare part or all of your food for the next morning, the evening before and get up just a little earlier.

Chop up the fresh fruit for a salad or smoothies the night before, add the natural yogurt in the morning. This is not the best option from a optimal nutritional value, fruit should be eaten as soon as it is prepared, so if you do have time in the morning to prepare your fruit this would be better.

Eggs are so quick to prepare that morning boiled or poached.

Soak your oats the night before with some dried fruit in some water, this speeds up the cooking time a lot in the morning.

Muesli must be soaked in a little water the night before – much better for digestion and for weight-loss you eat less as it expands in the bowl and not in your stomach. In the morning add a natural yogurt.

Yesterday’s left-overs from dinner makes a good breakfast. When this is suggested people at first don’t like the idea – soup or stir-fry for breakfast!! But eventually they actually like it.

Make sure you have lunch everyday – protein and a salad or vegetables.

Eat your evening meal as early as you can, if life was perfect no later than 6.00, then after that if you need to have some fresh fruits, herbal teas or water.
