blue-flower_001We have all heard of using colors to heal, calm, or stimulate etc. Colors can also have an affect on our appetite.

It would seem that red, orange and yellow stimulate and encourage appetite and conversation. Restaurants know this fact very well. If your house is decorated in these colors consider redecorating especially in the kitchen and dining room. Turn to the calm blues.

Blue is the best for suppressing the appetite, green is pretty good. This may sound far fetch but the research bears this out, people eat less in blue and more in red, yellow or orange colors.

So add a blue table cloth or place mats, blue serviettes, walls that are anything from neutral to blue or green. Wear blue cloths much more often. At the office add more blue accessories, like a blue mug. Maybe your food journal and pen could be blue.
